Share a time when you've been able to mobilize a group of people around a product, service, or cause you feel passionate about?
About a year ago, my sorority sister and I decided to officially start a local philanthropy just for our campus. We have a national philanthropy that we are very passionate about, but we wanted to bring awareness to something that we both felt really strongly about and that we could relate to as well. We chose First Generation Students. As first generation students ourselves, we wanted to bring more awareness to it on our campus. Alongside that, we decided to establish a annual scholarship that will be awarded to a first generation student every year. So far, we have been able to hold events on our campus to celebrate our philanthropy and we have also been able to bring awareness to it across the midwest!
