if you could have dinner with one person (dead or alive), who would it be and what would you ask them?

I would be so honored to have a conversation with Dr. Angela Davis (*manifesting*)! She is such an inspiration for me as a blossoming vanguard of social change.

what is your favorite podcast? and why?

I love indulging in J.ill The Podcast, it has such a comforting warmth — like you’re sitting and listening to your aunties talk. I also enjoy Small Doses with Amanda Seales and How To Citizen with Baratunde (which I had the honor of working on as an Audience Engagement fellow) for the broad scope of conversation topics, abundance of diverse guest perspectives, and calls-to-action. I also really enjoyed Abolition X, NPR’s Louder Than A Riot, and Object of Sound.

What is a wellness or beauty brand that has great social media presence? What sets them apart?

My favorite wellness-beauty brands are Topicals and selfmade. Both of these skincare brands have unique, fun social media personalities while making it a priority to amplify and include the voices of their community members (such as through ambassadorship programs and advisory boards, or simply including reviews and re-posting photos from their audience). Overall, I feel like storytelling is one of the most important elements of ANY community.
