Can you provide an example of a successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve marketing goals?
Yes! During my role in the Strategic Marketing Department at Texas Southern University, I collaborated with four cross-functional teams—including design, PR, digital, and event operations—to support a major brand launch with actress and producer Marsai Martin. Our goal was to generate excitement and maximize student engagement around the campaign. I worked closely with the creative team to write compelling website copy and design social media content, while also coordinating with the events team to ensure that all marketing materials were aligned and delivered on time. I also helped manage four campus social media pages with a combined following of over 210,000, tailoring content for each platform to reach our target audience effectively. Through our collaboration, we successfully launched the campaign across multiple touchpoints, increased engagement on campus platforms, and drove attendance at related events. This experience taught me how to align messaging, stay organized across teams, and keep marketing strategy at the center of every deliverable
