Describe your experience with TikTok or Instagram content creation.
I have previously worked with various companies to create content specifically on TikTok and instagram in the same manner as his campaign. This included producing 1-3 daily posts for both platforms, sometimes with more or less creative freedom. Of course this also included working with the marketing teams and discussing how to make the content better. I'm addicted to learning so I value the feedback. Since then my equipment has gotten better so I'm now able to produce a wider variety of types of posts and I'm pretty excited to keep it up

How do you stay creative when producing short-form videos regularly?
I stay creative by treating attention like an experiment rather than purely an art problem. Most creators instinct is to think about what's trending, whereas my interests lie in what keeps the brain predicting, emotionally engaged, and curious enough to not scroll away. That of course changes how I edit and structure videos. I think a lot about novelty, dopamine anticipation and emotional pacing when I come up with my content and try to shape it to match trends. It's not useful to just copy a trending video, you have to actually understand what made it stick out and get promoted by the algorithm. Social media and other websites like Pinterest can help me expand my view of what I can do, but in the end what makes videos unique and creative comes from having an actual interest and allowing yourself to have fun or feel stupid sometimes!

What’s your approach to improving content based on feedback or analytics?
I'm a very nerdy data driven person. I have a bachelor in computational neuroscience so I love to experiment and treat the algorithm like this mysterious treasure box for me to uncover and figure out. I have a lot of experience writing my own algorithms so I love trying to reverse engineer what happens on apps. Feedback and analytics are the core to engagement and successful online content, there's no shame in falling flat once in a while. It's all about learning and integrating. For example, this of course depends on the niche and platform, but I noticed posting 5.1-5.4 second long videos performs exceptionally well on TikTok but not on YouTube short. Funny, right?
