When I first joined my nutrition program at my university, I realized that studying health sciences didn’t just mean read content and ace exams. I had to apply the knowledge I gained from my classes in my personal life too. How could I work in health care if I don’t even take care of my own? With that being said, I began to find nutrient dense foods and healthy snacks that could fit into my diet and not just uptake my entire caloric intake worth on empty calories. I was a bit skeptical of protein bars since many would say the taste would be off and bitter but Barebells truly left me in awe. It was like a eating a healthy snicker bar with 20g of protein. I could eat this bar in the morning after lecture without feeling guilty. I loved that the macronutrients tied into the goals that I wanted and they have now become a part of my daily routine. I would love to be an ambassador because as a nutrition major on the human health track, diet goes a long way and I plan to share this message with anyone and everyone.
