Share a time you had to think creatively to solve a problem?
As a community leader at iMishpacha, a grassroots family organization, I encountered a problem when organizing a community service event on MLK day. We aimed to create essential item packages for children in foster care, but lacked funding. To address this, I reached out to numerous organizations, cold called community leaders, and approached local elected officials. After contacting over 20 individuals and organizations, the UJA Foundation, a non profit organization, agreed to sponsor the event. With their support, we successfully delivered care packages to 2 foster care locations, benefiting over 150 children. This experience taught me the significance of realizing a vision, particularly when funding opportunities are accessible.
