I'm a part of the graduate student social work organization which helps me build my professional communication skills, student support services which have helped me learn how to connect with students from different backgrounds, and local pageant organization which has taught me video editing and social media skills.

When I was little, I struggled with severe social anxiety and selective mutism, so communicating with others was hard. However, since that time, I have worked on my interpersonal communication and public speaking skills so that I no longer have those problems. Since overcoming my social anxiety, I have been nationally ranked in speech and debate, spoken at conferences, and given one-on-one advice to students seeking to advance their academic goals.

I'm currently a social work student studying clinical mental health interventions. One of the things that drove me to clinical social work was my own struggles with mental health. I'm interested in working with Journey because it took me seven years to overcome my diagnoses; however, if I had had something like Journey, I wouldn't have taken me so long to build those coping skills and healthy habits. I think Journey is something that everyone can benefit from and is a positive service that we can offer to the community.
