How do you hook viewers in the first 3 seconds of a retail video?

I hook viewers in the first 3 seconds by creating curiosity or relatability right away. I’ll use bold on-screen text, a quick close-up of the product, or a “POV” that makes people think, “Wait… that’s me.” I also love starting with movement—like grabbing the snack off the shelf, opening the bag, or reacting to the first bite—so it feels dynamic instead of static. The goal is to make people pause before they even realize they’ve stopped scrolling.

How would you create engaging retail content ?

I’d create fun, relatable content that makes Skinny Dipped feel like a “you have to try this” snack. I love quick, eye-catching videos with strong hooks in the first few seconds—think taste tests, “POV” moments, and aesthetic in-store grabs. I’d show how it fits into real life—study sessions, gym bags, road trips, or late-night sweet cravings—so it feels like a genuine recommendation from a friend, not an ad. My goal would be to make people stop scrolling and think, “Wait… I need that.” 🍫✨
