Please talk about something you've done that demonstrates attention to detail.

I helped 'modernize' and improve a website. I mentioned to my mom one time while working at her salon that I learnt how to touch-up websites during one of my online classes in high school. She asked me to retouch her website and change the old prices into the new prices for her business and change up the formatting for the lists since the website was made in the mid 2010's and needed a makeover. Once she gave me the website, I quickly realized that it was on Weebly so I didn't have to code, only format and change the text around. Weebly has a function to check how a website would look on a computer and on a mobile device (a phone specifically), but unfortunately, Weebly does not allow you to edit how your website looks on a phone, only on a computer. In the editor, you are in the perspective of how the website appears on the computer. I am changing text, adjusting prices, and asking for feedback. Once we were both satisfied, I check how the website looks on the phone, only to find out that it was a complete mess. The type of service was in one place and the price would be somewhere completely different on the page, nowhere near coherent and reader friendly. Nowadays, we use our phones for a plethora of reasons, it is a convenient device that we can use for quick and easy searches. If a person was on the go and looking for a particular type of service, they would pull out their phone and search for the place. This is especially the case for a beauty salon. If a website was confusing, the person would leave to find a different place instead. So I quickly realized that I had to change how the website looked on the editor, to look proper for the phone website as well. In the end, I had to once again reformat the pages to allow for a seamless reading experience that had little to no room for confusion for both a computer and a phone. This required me to pay attention to how any of the changes I make on one end can make a significant difference on the other. I could have assumed that if the website looked normal for one side (the computer) that it would look the same for the other (the phone) and left it, but I checked just in case and realized the issue before I published the inadequate website makeover.
