A successful content creation project I worked on in the past was my campaign with Liquid I.V. This was my first time working with a major brand and a talent management company; typically I just receive a campaign brief and an invoice. Getting to work one on one with my own brand contact to develop the storyline for the two videos, to help promote Liquid I.V.'s spring break launch, was such an amazing learning experience for me. I got to learn more about the technicalities/legalities that go into digital marketing, and how to marry content creation and advertising together. What made this campaign successful was that I maintained my authenticity throughout the process. As a Black female college content creator, I am often aware that I don't fit the "college girl" archetype that many brands envision when they put out notices looking for college-aged creators to work with. However, from the get-go, I stood my ground and reiterated the importance of showing how the product could be beneficial to students who were like ME, pre-health majors who are actively involved in clubs and volunteering and have an on-campus job. The campaign was such as success that I was even asked to produce more content for them on short notice!
