What are the key components that make a viral video?

A viral video is made up of a compelling hook, clear value, emotional appeal and shareability. For TikTok and Instagram Reels, the first 1–3 seconds are incredibly important, so I’d focus on starting with something scroll-stopping, like a dramatic beauty transformation a relatable problem, a trending question, or a quick “before and after.”

I also think viral videos often have good pacing, clean graphics, subtitles, trending/fitting audios and a good cause for viewers to save, share, or comment. For a beauty app like Glamir, it may be beauty tutorials, AI beauty guidance, relatable beauty issues, product-style makeovers, trend analysis or “get ready with me” content with a funny tech twist. My objective would be to make every video seem trustworthy, be easy to grasp and be worth interacting with, while yet reflecting the brand’s personality.

My expertise in digital marketing, content planning, social media management, consumer behavior, Canva, Figma, and marketing analytics gives me a unique blend of creativity and performance when it comes to the topic of virality.

What key metrics do you track to ensure a social media page is business-ready?

To make a social media page business-ready I would track visual/brand consistency as well as performance data. The key metrics I would look on would be engagement rate, follower growth, reach, impressions, saves, shares, profile visits, website/app clicks and post consistency. For a beauty tech company like Glamir, I would pay extra attention to saves and shares, since it indicates that the information is informative, motivating or something that’s worth going back to.

I’d also check into what sorts of posts do well, including tutorials, beauty advice, product education, before and after content, UGC style posts or trend focused Reels. Then I'd leverage those findings to tweak the content calendar and make the feed feel more polished, strategic, and professional. I have experience in digital marketing, social media management, content marketing, Google Analytics, Canva, Figma and brand strategy and have learned how to blend excellent graphics with quantifiable business goals.
