What experience do you have with social media affiliate marketing?
I have experience with social media affiliate marketing primarily through coursework and personal marketing projects, where I’ve learned the end-to-end process of planning affiliate-style campaigns and optimizing them based on performance. I’m comfortable creating content that fits affiliate goals (short-form video concepts, product storytelling, and clear CTAs), setting up trackable links (UTM parameters/link-in-bio structure), and thinking through what would improve conversion—like matching the offer to the audience, highlighting specific benefits, and addressing common objections. I also understand the key metrics used to evaluate affiliate performance (CTR, conversion rate, AOV, CAC/ROAS when applicable), and how to iterate by testing different hooks, formats, and landing page angles. While I’m still growing my hands-on experience with large-scale affiliate programs, I’m confident in the strategy, analytics mindset, and content execution needed to support affiliate-driven campaigns.

How would you increase engagement for a live shopping event?
I’d increase engagement for a live shopping event by treating it like a mini show with a clear structure, constant interaction, and incentives that reward people for staying. I’d build anticipation 24–48 hours ahead with a teaser of what’s featured, a countdown sticker, and prompts like “comment your skin type/shade” so viewers feel involved before it starts. In the first 30 seconds of the live, I’d open with a strong hook and quick agenda—preview the top items and mention a timed perk (like a code drop or bundle) to encourage retention. Throughout the live, I’d keep chat active with interactive moments every few minutes (polls, Q&As, “vote which shade I swatch next,” shoutouts), and I’d drive urgency in a non-pushy way using limited-time codes, limited bundles, or “first X orders” perks announced at specific points. The selling would be demo-led—swatches, try-ons, side-by-side comparisons, and quick “problem → solution” tutorials—because value keeps people commenting and watching. If possible, I’d add a co-host to keep energy up and answer questions in real time, and I’d use retention tactics like periodic recaps for new joiners and “type ‘still here’ and I’ll drop the next deal.” After the live, I’d pin the replay with timestamps, repurpose the best moments into short clips, and follow up in comments/DMs on unanswered questions to keep momentum going.
