What are important considerations for you when reviewing a product?
When reviewing a project, it is important to test it in all ways it can be viewed. For example, a simple sign in page: wrong username, wrong password, correct login. This is just 3 of many "states" that a piece of software can be in. I'd focus on understanding all aspects of the feature and writing detailed descriptions on what happened and what I expected.
