Whats your favorite brand social account and why? What do you love about their vibe?
I have two very different answers to this question.
One brand I follow across several platforms + mediums to keep me updated on trends for my career in marketing is Morning Brew. I admire how they’ve scaled and pursued different areas as a brand. However, they still stay true to who they are while continuing to put out consistently great content. I recently just followed their Tiktok, and their content is sharp/smart while still being so damn funny. For example, after Apple’s WWDC on June 5th, they posted a video poking fun at Apple’s presenters and how they use something called “Apple Hands” while presenting. The video pulled in so many pop culture nods without feeling overly done while still giving the audience a good chuckle.

The second account is the independent film distribution company A24’s Instagram. I’ve been a fan of their movies since high school. Following along with their Instagram just makes me feel like I’m in the know about something edgy and different - even though they’re a HUGE name now. I think they accomplish this vibe by creating content that uniquely and intimately showcases their films. It could also be that it makes me feel really nostalgic for high school.
I love this piece from VOX highlighting how the brand was able to surge in popularity with its unique distribution/vibey marketing strategies.

Creator Sourcing Intern
Please brainstorm three avenues you'd utilize to engage and source new creators for the pager platform.
Southern Greek Life
If you’ve kept up with #rushtok or watched the Bama Rush documentary, you know that the Potential New Members and Active Members of sororities post massive amounts of content documenting the process and every detail + product that goes into their appearance. In turn, these women get massive followings and interactions with their content during the week and weeks leading up to sorority recruitment. Pager could be a great tool for these creators to document the week and things that go into the process. From the details of their outfits to their getting-ready playlists. As a former sorority president at a big southern school, I feel confident in my ability to connect and source from this demographic.
Career and Tech Folks
I am definitely a part of the career and personal development side of Tiktok. I often get recommendations from users such as Internship Girl or Hanna Gets Hired to try out new job platforms or get tips on how to rock my next coffee chat. Pager could be a way for them to document their tools, but also their processes. For example, a screenshot of what a post-interview thank you could look like. Lot’s of room to play with this area of the internet with Pager.
Saint Louis + Dallas Markets
Two other markets that I’ve been a part of that have great micro and macro influences that don’t get tapped into enough are Saint Louis and Dallas markets. A lot of them post similar lifestyle content to other big cities. Pager could be used to document new local spot recommendations in these growing cities or home decor obsessions, as many of the influencers in these cities I engage with are decorating their first apartments and homes.

How does art bring value into your life currently?
As someone who wants to go into experiential marketing, I tend to find inspiration from the world + art around me. Just like how the tiny details like what music is playing or how the air smells can influence how an event makes someone feel, the fine details of any medium of art can influence the way someone takes inspiration from the art they interact with.
Specifically, art can influence the colors I gravitate towards for the branding of an event. The movement in an art piece may inspire how to set up a tablescape. For instance, I was into a really retro surfer aesthetic for a while which led to me spending a ridiculous amount of time collecting images of old Roxy + Billabong catalog graphics to help plan my sororities bid day. We ended up settling on some muted sunset tones and lots of fluid lines throughout all of our big builds + installations.
