In a given week, your responsibilities range from updating financial models, to scheduling with external partners, to tracking inventory movement, to prepping decks for a marketing meeting. How do you prioritize and execute when everything is urgent?
When everything feels urgent, I rely heavily on time blocking to stay organized and focused under pressure. Over the years, working in fast-paced customer service roles has taught me the importance of structure and responsiveness, especially when managing multiple priorities. I always start with scheduling because it helps create mental clarity. I input all deadlines, meetings, and key tasks into both Notion and Google Calendar. This gives me a visual breakdown of my week and helps me identify where to focus my energy first. From there, I juggle the remaining tasks based on urgency and impact. For example, I block off time for preparing decks or updating financial models during my most productive hours, while reserving more flexible time slots for tasks like inventory tracking or responding to partners. Being a busy college student with two jobs and a dog has trained me to handle high-pressure situations with confidence. I have learned to adapt quickly, manage competing demands, and still deliver high-quality work. Even when everything feels urgent, I stay grounded by following a plan, keeping communication clear, and making adjustments as necessary.

Tell us about a time when maintaining accurate data was crucial to your role. How did you ensure the data stayed clean, up to date, and aligned across systems or teams?
As the current president of my sorority, maintaining accurate and organized data has been essential—especially when it comes to coordinating our public relations efforts. Over the past month, I took the initiative to create a comprehensive data tracking sheet for our PR team to manage incoming and outgoing brand partnerships and promotional content. The spreadsheet I designed tracks several key components in real time: brand names, PR contacts, emails sent, responses received, products gifted, delivery timelines, and the specific video or social content created for each collaboration. This system ensures we have full visibility into which companies we’ve reached out to, who has sent us product, and what content has been completed or is still pending. To keep the data clean and up to date, I established clear data entry rules and dropdown menus to reduce entry errors. I also implemented conditional formatting to highlight incomplete tasks and added filters so the PR team could easily sort by status or company. We update the sheet weekly in our meetings and use it as a shared live document across our internal Google Workspace, making sure everyone stays aligned on content status and communication efforts. This tool has become essential in helping our team stay professional and consistent with brands while also improving follow-through and accountability. It’s been a great way to apply my background in business analytics to a leadership role, and it’s made a visible difference in how we manage our growing presence and partnerships.
