Start with initial first hand impressions:

• Packaging (feel, design, product design)

• Aesthetics (brand, packaging, product)

• Information presented and first impressions

Read through the information on the product, the benefits, the usage instructions and any additional information on the brand.

Then testing the product, especially if it is a consumable product. I look to long-term effectiveness and ease of use.

After using, I list pros and cons or any qualms I have with it. Whether it stands to its claims etc. And any comparisons I have to additional similar products.
