Full Time Role: Customer Success Coordinator
Why are you passionate about Home From College and why should we hire you?
I am deeply committed to the mission of empowering students to advance in their careers. As a former student, I recall the frustration of navigating through company websites and encountering job requirements that seemed out of reach in terms of experience. Discovering HFC post-college made me wish such a resource had been available during my academic years. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the enhancement of this platform, especially considering the company's rapid growth and the presence of highly talented individuals.
In my current position, I engage regularly with high-level executives and end-users. Serving as the initial point of contact for in-person interactions with the brand, I recognize the critical importance of details and the responsibility associated with maintaining the brand image. Additionally, my strategic mindset positions me well to provide valuable insights and advise on product decisions and improvements. I have a proven track record of identifying areas for enhancement and implementing strategic solutions. I understand the importance of aligning product decisions with overall business objectives and am skilled at analyzing data to inform these decisions.
I am excited at the opportunity to apply my strategic guidance, problem-solving capabilities, and interpersonal skills to this role, bringing a valuable contribution to the team and the continued success of the company.

Please share an experience where you managed a project from beginning to end.
In my current role, I took on a project focused on the deployment of a software update for an internal program. While the project was not as extensive as larger initiatives, this project provided valuable hands-on experience in project management.
The project began with a clear directive from my company for our team to update an internal ticketing system to the latest version. The first step involved understanding the full requirements and potential challenges associated with the update. I conducted meetings with my team to address their concerns and sought feedback from other teams that had previously undergone a similar update. Thorough documentation of potential issues and specific features requiring attention was a crucial part of this phase.
Once I had a comprehensive understanding of the task, I collaborated closely with the IT team responsible for the update to develop a detailed plan for our team. This plan encompassed a timeline for the update, a task checklist, and assigned responsibilities for each team member. My responsibilities included coordinating communication between the Software team, management, and our team, as well as preparing all necessary documentation and training materials for the new update.
Throughout the software rollout, I conducted multiple training sessions to familiarize our team with the new features and changes. I maintained open lines of communication, addressing concerns or questions from staff and escalating technical issues to the Software team when required.
Following the completion of the project, I organized follow-up sessions to collect feedback on behalf of the Software team. This feedback played a crucial role in identifying any lingering issues and ensuring the team felt supported during the transition. I documented lessons learned and shared insights for future reference.
While the project may not have been as intricate as others, it provided me with hands-on experience in managing a project from initiation to completion. It underscored the importance of effective communication, attention to user needs, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The experience laid a solid foundation for my understanding of project management in technology as I continue to advance in my role.
