Walk us through how you'd build a content calendar from scratch
First, define goals and guardrails. Clarify what HORMBLES CHORMBLES needs from social in the next 30–90 days (e.g., awareness for protein chocolate launch, traffic to site, Costco sell‑through) and any non‑negotiables like posting frequency, key offers, or product priorities. I’d also identify target audiences and primary platforms (TikTok, IG, etc.) so the calendar isn’t one‑size‑fits‑all. Second, map content pillars and campaign themes. From the brand and goals, I’d pick 3–5 content pillars, for example: product education (protein/0g sugar benefits), taste and textures (recipes, ASMR, bite shots), lifestyle and moments (gym bag, desk snack, late‑night cravings), social proof (UGC, reviews, influencer clips), and memes/brand personality. Then I’d layer in any fixed campaigns or moments (launch dates, retailer pushes, holidays, or “Protein Candy Week”) as anchors on the calendar. Third, set posting cadence by platform. I’d outline realistic baseline frequencies per channel (for example: TikTok 4–5x/week, IG Reels 3x/week, IG feed 2x/week, Stories most days, Pinterest and Facebook on a lighter but consistent cadence). Each slot on the calendar gets assigned a pillar + format (e.g., “Tue – TikTok: taste test reel, product education” or “Fri – IG Story: poll + UGC reshare”). Fourth, plan specific posts and integrate UGC/influencers. For each slot, I’d write a short content idea (hook, angle, and CTA), note whether it will be original brand content or repurposed UGC/influencer content, and include any required assets (shot list, product focus, sound/trend to use). This is where I’d plug in committed creator deliverables so their content is scheduled intentionally instead of randomly dropped. Fifth, add workflow, approvals, and tracking. In the calendar (Notion, Sheets, or Airtable), I’d add columns for status (idea, scripting, filming, editing, approved, scheduled), owner, caption/copy, link/UTM, and performance notes. Once the first month is live, I’d review top‑performing posts weekly, note what hooks and formats are working, and adjust the upcoming weeks so the calendar keeps evolving based on data instead of staying static.

Show us a brand you think is killing it on social and tell us why
One brand that is killing it on social right now is Duolingo. Their content works because it is fully native to each platform: they lean into trends, memes, and bold mascot‑led storytelling instead of traditional ads. Duolingo’s posts are short, funny, and highly shareable, which keeps them constantly in the algorithm while still reinforcing their core message about daily language learning and app usage.

Yes, I have an iPhone and I can start the 3-day trial within the next week; I’m available to begin as early as tomorrow.
