In December 2022, I volunteered to model for a second-year photography student. My main objective was to get expertise as a visual for the camera and to observe the behind-the-scenes stories being told behind portraits in image arts and creative projects. The photo shoot was extremely eye-opening, and even though I lacked confidence, the results that the photographer was able to produce piqued my interest in visual and media arts. The photographer's aptitude for capturing the essence and distinctive qualities of the subject, as well as for interpreting the subject's personality and translating it visually through their artistic choices, adjusting colours, contrast, or applying filters to evoke a specific mood or aesthetic, creating series or sequences of images that work together to tell a more comprehensive story, and understanding their subjects' stories, experiences, or perspectives in order to capture images that reflect their specific narratives- has always been both my biggest strength and interest. Having been through the darkest of places in my life and having no way to express it, I want to create an opportunity to create a unique mode of art that can raise voices, compressing different music mediums to produce a harmony that an audience can relate to, creating a series or sequence of photos that tell a story. I've always been creative and a lover of the arts, and this opportunity will be the first step in achieving my dream of becoming and forming a legendary filmmaker.
