Interview Questions
New Brew
Growth Marketing Intern (21+ years or older)

Tell us about a time you took initiative beyond your typical responsibilities to drive results. What motivated you, and what was the outcome? -- Are you 21 years or older?
Yes, I’m 21 years or older. One time I really stepped outside of my typical role was during a group project where we were editing a short film for a local event. I was mainly brought on to handle the video editing side in Premiere Pro, but I noticed the story felt disconnected and lacked emotional impact. Instead of just editing what was handed to me, I proposed a new structure to improve the narrative flow. I storyboarded a few alternate cuts and even helped rework some dialogue scenes to match the new pacing. I also added subtle VFX in After Effects to enhance mood transitions. What motivated me was the desire to make the project actually connect with the audience—it wasn’t just about doing my part, it was about making something we could all be proud of. In the end, the film got a standing ovation at the screening and was later shared by the event’s organizers on social media, giving everyone in the team some awesome exposure.
