Interview Questions
JOVA
Business Development Intern (Health Food Startup)

How do you usually keep track of tasks, follow-ups, or deadlines when things are moving fast?
I like to organize myself through building task lists and categorizing them based on the importance-urgency matrix. This helps me identify all of the tasks I need to complete, and categorizing each task with the matrix allows me to keep up with deadlines and urgent work. By doing so, I am able to stay organized and conduct tasks in an orderly, comprehensible fashion without immense stress or confusion about what needs to be done when. I will also often organize these lists, once created and categorized, into a calendar to ensure I stay on track!

Tell us about a time you helped something run more smoothly, or solved a problem on your own.
One example where I've helped someone run something more smoothly was in my work with Brilliant PR & Marketing. I was tasked with conducting follow-ups for accounts that had received client samples. I streamlined the process of identifying accounts needing follow-ups by reorganizing our AirTable system to identify clients who had received samples but had not published any coverage. I was able to do so by adding a set of coverage status options within each open opportunity and then filtering the system based on these statuses. Those who had not moved forward with any coverage were easily identifiable, ultimately streamlining the process of identification and outreach for our follow-ups!
