How would you make matcha feel fresh and exciting to a Gen Z audience without leaning on overdone aesthetics?
I would focus on storytelling, personality, and real-life moments rather than relying solely on aesthetic visuals. For Gen Z, authenticity is key, so I'd show how matcha fits into my daily routine—whether that's a productive morning, a study session, a creative workday, or getting ready to go out. I'd use relatable hooks, honest reactions, trending formats, and engaging edits to make the content feel fresh and approachable. Instead of presenting matcha as just a trendy drink, I'd highlight the experience, benefits, and lifestyle around it in a way that feels genuine and entertaining.

What type of short-form content performs best on TikTok in your opinion?
In my opinion, the best-performing short-form content on TikTok combines authenticity, storytelling, and a strong hook within the first few seconds. Content that shows real experiences, routines, transformations, tutorials, or product integrations tends to perform well because it provides value while keeping viewers engaged. For lifestyle and wellness brands, I’ve found that relatable morning routines, “day in my life” content, honest product reviews, and aesthetically shot preparation videos can be especially effective because they feel natural rather than overly promotional.
