How do you keep up with trending topics on TikTok and Instagram?

stay on top of trends by spending intentional time on both platforms daily — not just scrolling, but really watching what sounds, formats, or challenges are picking up traction. On TikTok, I keep an eye on the trending sounds and hashtags, and on Instagram, I look at what’s popping on Reels and in Explore. I also follow a few creators and pages that are always early to trends, so I get inspired without feeling like I’m copying what everyone else is doing. When I see a trend that fits my style or niche, I find a way to put my own twist on it — whether that’s through humor, a specific product I’m loving, or tying it into my lifestyle. I think that’s the key: keeping things fresh but still you. Trends change fast, but if you’re consistent with your own voice, you stay relevant no matter what’s trending.

What strategies do you use to create engaging social media content?

When I create content, my main strategy is making it relatable and real. I always think: “Would I stop scrolling for this?” I try to keep a balance between aesthetics and authenticity — whether it’s a grocery haul, product review, or casual day-in-the-life post, I focus on making it feel like a conversation, not a commercial. That usually means showing how I actually use a product in my routine, being honest with my opinions, and keeping the tone fun and natural.I also pay attention to what my audience responds to — I look at what’s getting the most comments, shares, or saves, and use that to guide my next post. Trends are great, but I make sure they still align with my content and personality. At the end of the day, people engage with content that feels like you, not just something trying to sell them something.

share an example of similar content you created in the past

One example of similar content I created was a grocery haul where I featured a new plant-based protein brand. Instead of just listing what I bought, I focused on how I actually use the products in my day-to-day — I shared quick meal ideas, gave my honest first impressions, and made the product feel like a must-have instead of a random item. I even included a mini “what I eat in a day” segment to show how it fit into my routine, which my audience really loved and engaged with.I think that style would work perfectly with Ryl Tea — making it feel organic and authentic while still being super informative and fun to watch.
