Social Media Coordinator
Please share any relevant social media management experience and how you defined success in the role.
I created an Instagram page for students in science that are looking for relevant resources. Prior to this, I felt that students in science were not aware of all the opportunities they had and wanted to shed light on various opportunities and tips for science university students! I found success in this because I started to be recognized on my university campus for this Instagram page! People would come and tell me how much the page had helped them with getting a science research position, etc, and it felt amazing knowing my work was making a difference!
I’ve worked on multiple academic clubs as a Social Media coordinator to create and advertise media on social platforms. In these cases I defined success as reaching as many students within the school as possible, as this was our target audience. In multiple instances our clubs saw a lot of interest in our club because of how we advertised it and interacted with our audience on social media. People would reach out on Instagram to join the club and compliment our social media performances!
Lastly, I’ve previously been an intern at a financial technology company where I was a Growth Partnerships Coordinator. In this role, I helped pioneer an influencer program. From finding influencers (using social media platforms, and software like GRIN), to collaborating with multiple in-house specialists, to pitching our brand externally, to managing all logistics and influencer communications, I helped create success in this program! In our first launch we had over 40 influencers join our program and speak on their personal finance journeys! It was amazing to see people get real about their money and know I played a part in starting these important conversations!
