What makes a skincare routine special to you?
"To me a skincare routine is one of the few moments in the day that's purely for yourself — it's a small act of self care that compounds over time. What makes it special is the ritual of it, not just the results. The order of the products, the textures, the scents — it becomes something you actually look forward to. I'm also drawn to how personal skincare is — what works for one person won't work for another, and there's something really satisfying about finding the products that work specifically for your skin. That's actually what makes reviewing skincare so meaningful to me as a creator — helping someone find what works for them feels genuinely useful, not just promotional."

How would you showcase an herbal skincare product creatively in a 30-second video?
"I'd open with a sensory close-up hook — the product texture, a scoop, the herbs inside, or liquid dropping — something visually satisfying that stops the scroll immediately. Then I'd use hands-only application shots showing the product being used on skin, with on-screen text or a voiceover walking through the experience — how it smells, feels, and absorbs. I'd weave in aesthetic B-roll throughout like flat lays, ingredient close-ups, and natural elements like botanicals or linen to reinforce the herbal feel. I'd close with a result shot and a clear on-screen verdict. Natural lighting, earthy tones, and calming audio throughout to match the product's vibe."

What makes short-form video content effective on Instagram and TikTok?
"On both platforms, effective content feels native — it doesn't look like an ad, it looks like something a real person made and wanted to share. Beyond that, the first 1-3 seconds have to earn the watch, whether that's a visual surprise, a bold statement, or an immediate payoff. Captions and on-screen text matter a lot too because a huge portion of people watch on mute. On TikTok specifically, trending audio and staying in a consistent niche helps the algorithm push your content to the right audience. On Instagram, aesthetic cohesion and shareability drive performance — people save and share what feels aspirational or useful. Both platforms reward content that triggers an emotion quickly — whether that's curiosity, humor, or desire — and ends with a reason to engage, save, or follow."
