What does authenticity mean to you?

Authenticity does not have one true definition to itself as there are plenty of ways one sees it. However, as I grew up in South Africa, authenticity always meant being your ultimate self, the one you wake up with in the morning and go to sleep with at night. The person who you are around your family and closest friends, where you do not expect anyone to bring you judgment. It can be hard these days where social media gives no space for authenticity, since people do not genuinely know who is 'real' and who is 'fake.' It is a game of poker in our society, but this can be avoided with consistency. So, authenticity to me is the art of being authentic to yourself, not other people. When you know this is who you are, then you know you are you.

How do you create FOMO and social proof?

Creating FOMO and social proof is an important strategy for a business, specifically one that runs online. It gives people the chance to allow customer reviews, work with influencers, and partner with other experts in the industry. This allows for a company to take advantage of external validation, and creates an influence on other customers. The fear of missing out is very common, someone wants something that another person has, and this is where a company can take advantage of that and use it to gain more customers.
