The reason as to why I am passionate about Home From College because it's a company that wants to give others an opportunity to get their foot in on the work field. I know I don't have that much of experience but I am open to learn more , add more value to the company and be part of a community that gives other's an opportunity to gain more experience. As Im writing this I think about a quote I heard a day before my graduation and that is " In order to reach your goal you are going to need help in order to get there" to this day that quote makes me reflect more and more.

I manage a project that took over 4 months in the process. I had a team of 2 people involve. Our assignment was to create a garment that represents the social justice movements that are currently going on in the US. We all collectively agreed on creating a dress with ruffles to imitate as folds to represent a vagina. The reason as to why making a vagina dress because there are so many pictures, sculptures that depict a vagina but never the real deal as seen in educational books. Another reason as to why the dress is because the over turning of Roe V. Wade a symbolism that we as a society will not tolerate putting a women's life in danger and promote safe abortions. The process of this project is that I assigned each of my team members to either bring in the materials that is needed for the ruffles, and one to create the ruffles. Due to time and life events one of my team members couldn't complete their task and so this person and I took parts on fishing sewing the ruffles. As the dress was near its completion we needed a model so I contacted a friend of mine who was able to model. The choice of model had a lot to due with the project. I wanted a queer masculine individual to model the dress Reason as to why is because we live in a society where women are not being heard. So what else can we do to get attention? We were able to show case our models around campus to the point we get kicked out. A representation of being heard. We later had to post on social media thorough anonymous account that was created by me showcasing our project.
