You'll need to balance this role with your studies. Can you walk me through your typical week and how you'd structure your time to ensure you can consistently dedicate attention to finding and connecting with creators?"

Balancing a role like this with my studies is definitely something I’m used to. I’m a very organized person, and I rely heavily on to-do lists to structure my time and stay on top of everything. Even though I have a busy schedule, I’ve found a routine that helps me manage it all effectively. At the start of each week, I make a detailed list of my priorities, breaking down tasks by deadlines. I allocate specific blocks of time for studying and schoolwork, but I also make sure to schedule time for other responsibilities, like connecting with creators. I’ve learned to be realistic about what I can accomplish each day, so I ensure I don’t overburden myself. For example, I might dedicate an hour or so after school to research and connect with creators—whether that’s through TikTok, YouTube, or social media—by checking in on what’s trending or reaching out to influencers. I tend to work efficiently during these windows, using my to-do list to keep track of outreach and follow-ups. Additionally, I often make use of downtime, like during lunch breaks or commute times, to brainstorm content ideas or schedule posts.Having a clear schedule and setting aside specific times for different tasks helps me stay organized and ensures I can give attention to both my academics and the role I’m balancing. Even though it can get busy, I’ve learned how to manage it in a way that feels manageable and stress-free.

How do you currently discover new skincare products or brands? Walk me through your process of researching and deciding what to try.

When it comes to discovering new skincare products or brands, I typically rely on a few trusted sources. One of my main methods is scrolling through TikTok, where I follow skincare influencers and enthusiasts who share their honest reviews and routines. TikTok has a way of showing products that are trending, and I often come across products that seem to be gaining a lot of attention or have a unique feature.I also love to visit Sephora in person. There's something about testing the products firsthand—whether it's feeling the texture, smelling the scents, or seeing how they react on my skin—that helps me decide. I might ask the store associates for recommendations, or just explore new sections to discover brands I haven’t heard of before. Finally, I trust my favorite YouTubers, especially those who have a similar skin type or concerns as mine. When I see a product they've promoted or recommended, I usually watch their reviews in-depth, as they provide honest opinions and detailed explanations of how the product worked for them. If I see a few people I trust mentioning the same product, I’ll usually add it to my list to try!

Tell me about a time you've successfully used social media to promote something you care about - whether that was a school event, personal project, or club initiative. What strategies did you use and what results did you achieve?

One time I successfully used social media to promote an event was through my club, Helping Hearts Youth Foundation, when we organized a Christmas Cards for Senior Homes campaign and an International Food Fair. To promote these events, I created visually engaging posts using Canva, designing eye-catching graphics that highlighted the event details and the causes behind them.I made sure the posts were colorful and clear, incorporating photos from previous events and quotes to make them more personal. After creating the designs, I encouraged my friends and club members to repost them on their social media accounts to help spread the word. By leveraging their networks, we were able to reach a much wider audience, which led to greater participation in both events. The use of consistent, shareable visuals helped build excitement and awareness, and the events turned out to be a big success.
