In a previous role, I was helping with a community event where we were offering samples of a new snack product. One customer seemed unsure at first, so I asked what kinds of snacks they usually liked. After listening, I highlighted how our product matched their preferences—especially how it was made with natural ingredients and had a great flavor. I offered a small sample and pointed out some fun ways they could enjoy it, like as a post-workout snack or with their favorite drink. They ended up loving it and bought multiple packs to share with friends. That experience showed me how listening to the customer and making the product relatable can really make a difference.

How would you approach a customer who is hesitant to try a new product?
I would approach the customer with a warm smile and a friendly tone, making them feel comfortable and welcome. I'd start by briefly introducing the product and highlighting what makes it unique or exciting-whether it's the flavor, health benefits, or how it supports local communities. If they're still unsure, I'd offer a no-pressure sample and say something, "No commitment-just a quick taste to see what you think!" I'd also listen to their concerns and answer any questions honestly to build trust. My goal would be to make the interaction positive and help them feel good about giving something new a try.
