Interview Questions
Muses Consulting Studio
Brand Outreach Specialist

How do you ensure your pitches are tailored to resonate with different brands' values and objectives?
To ensure my pitches resonate with different brands' values and objectives, I like to follow a structured approach!
1. Research the Brand Thoroughly Company Mission & Values: I review the brand’s website, social media, and recent campaigns to understand their core messaging, purpose, and target audience.
Previous Partnerships: I analyze their past collaborations with influencers, ambassadors, or campus initiatives to identify patterns and potential opportunities.
Current Challenges & Goals: I check industry trends, competitor strategies, and press releases to determine what the brand might be focusing on (e.g., increasing brand awareness, driving sales, expanding to student audiences).
2. Align Muses’ Value Proposition with Their Goals
Demonstrate Relevance: I tailor the pitch by directly connecting how Muses' network of student creators can help the brand achieve its specific objectives
3. Personalize the Pitch Tone & Format
Brand Voice Matching: If a brand has a formal, corporate tone, I keep the pitch professional and data-driven. If they have a playful, Gen Z-focused identity, I incorporate creativity and engaging language.
Visual Elements & Customization: I create branded pitch decks or proposals that reflect the brand’s aesthetic and values, ensuring they feel a personal connection to the opportunity.
4. End with a Strong Call to Action Clear Next Steps: Instead of a generic “Let me know what you think,” I propose a specific follow-up, like a 15-minute call to discuss potential collaboration ideas.

What strategies would you use to help grow a podcast’s audience, especially on social media?
To help grow Dear Diary Co.’s podcast audience, I would focus on strategies that align with its mission of amplifying powerful conversations with high-achieving women!
Storytelling Through Short-Form Video: I would repurpose key podcast moments into Instagram Reels, TikTok clips, and YouTube Shorts featuring compelling soundbites, behind-the-scenes footage, and guest highlights to draw in viewers.
Guest Amplification & Community Engagement: Since the podcast features high-achieving women, I would provide each guest with easy-to-share social media assets (audiograms, quote graphics, and promo clips) to encourage them to share with their networks. Engaging directly with listeners through Instagram polls, Q&As, and LinkedIn discussions would foster a strong community.
Content Personalization & Hashtag Strategy: I would create targeted content tailored to each platform’s audience—empowering career tips for LinkedIn, personal storytelling for Instagram, and behind-the-scenes moments for TikTok—while using niche-specific hashtags like #WomenInBusiness, #FemaleLeaders, and #PodcastLife to maximize reach.
Collaborations & Strategic Partnerships: Partnering with like-minded brands, influencers, and media platforms focused on women’s leadership and entrepreneurship would help cross-promote the podcast to an engaged audience.
User-Generated Content & Listener Involvement: Encouraging listeners to share their favorite takeaways using a branded hashtag like #DearDiaryConversations would increase organic reach. Additionally, featuring audience questions or testimonials in episodes and social posts would enhance engagement.
Data-Driven Growth: Analyzing engagement metrics from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to determine what content resonates most would allow for continuous optimization of promotional strategies.
