The most influential creators at UH right now are a mix of rising artists and the DJs who control the campus social scene. On the artist side, Lil Chika is a major standout—he’s an underground rap artist who’s gaining serious momentum and has already been featured on On The Radar Radio.

When it comes to the people who actually 'set the vibe' and break new music, it's all about the DJs. DJ Cel, DJ lyric, dj divinity. are the heavy hitters here. They are the ones spinning at the biggest events for the Nigerian Student Association and 2Trillent

partner with the organizers of the orgs sometimes they host DJ Aux Wars events which challenge contestants to play their best unreleased "flip" or edit, showing the crowd that with vers1ons, those tracks can actually be legally distributed and monetized.

I'm lucky to be part of a few different worlds at UH. I’m in the Nigerian Student Association (NSA) and 2Trillent, where the music and the DJs are basically the lifeblood of everything we do. I’m also connected with Coog Radio and the tech-minded crowd in NSBE.

To introduce vers1ons, I wouldn't just give a sales pitch. I’d start by asking the DJs in our GroupMe chats a simple question: 'How many of y’all have fire remixes just sitting on your laptop because you’re afraid of a copyright strike?' Once I have their attention, I’d show them how this platform lets them upload those tracks legally and actually start seeing some cash from them.
