What strategies do you use to engage organic audiences and influencers?
For organic audiences, I keep it simple and real:
I post short videos a lot — Reels and TikTok style. The first 3 seconds have to catch attention, like “POV: How I’m making extra cash as a student in Abuja without running ads.” I talk about real stuff — campus stress, side hustles, NEPA wahala, data-saving tips, whatever people can relate to.
I reply to almost every comment and most DMs. I ask questions in my captions and run polls on Stories so people actually talk back. That helps the algorithm push my stuff more.
I try to post consistently, like 4-5 times a week, and I don’t pretend everything is perfect. People connect more when you’re genuine.
For influencers, I don’t just slide into DMs asking for collabs. I like and comment on their posts meaningfully first, share their content, and tag them when it makes sense. I offer value before asking for anything.
With smaller influencers (the 5k-50k ones), it’s easier — we do simple joint videos or shoutouts. No big budget needed.
At the end of the day, it’s about building real connections, not just chasing numbers. Consistency and giving value still works best, even in 2026
