what's a creative way you would lead sampling efforts both on and off campus?

Notre Dame’s unique single-sex residence hall system makes the dorms more like sororities and fraternities. My home, Howard Hall, still offers philanthropic efforts, formal dances, sisterhood, Big/Little reveals, and other elements that typical sororities offer. Additionally, residence halls at Notre Dame have specific colors and mascots. Because Howard Hall’s mascot is the duck, our common room is lovingly called the “Pond.” What I would like to do is host a “Spa Night in the Pond” event. This way, the girls in my hall can all come together, sample ColourPop products, listen to music, and unwind after a long day of studying. By sampling product, they will be influenced to purchase. By creating exclusivity, other women’s halls will want to host similar events. The domino effect could be incredibly successful.

I think game days are a fun way to market off campus. Notre Dame has a large fan base, so people travel from across the country to see Notre Dame play. At sporting events, marketing ColourPop near tailgates could be a way to entice people in easily.

How would you engage your audience to promote ColourPop products?

Seeing is believing. My content would feature live reactions of product, such as having my friends in my dorm try out products and rate them. This way, people can actively see someone’s reaction to the strong pigmentation and creamy formulas ColourPop offers without any prompting. Another way to engage my audience is to orient the product around a relevant event coming up: formal dances. At Notre Dame, lots of formal dances happen in the Spring. There’s no better way to market a product than to make a person feel like they need it for an upcoming event where looks matter.

what do you love about colourpop?

As a lifelong competitive dancer, ColourPop has always been a staple in my makeup routine. Especially with a younger sister also involved in competitive dance, the makeup routine became expensive. ColourPop offered my family the opportunity to make sure my sister and I had all we needed without breaking the bank. Now, as a college student, I find myself reaching to ColourPop for the affordable options I grew up with. Additionally, I love the strong pigmentation in all of ColourPop’s products. Affordability does not have to mean cutting back on the quality of product, and ColourPop has never failed me when I want to truly shine.
