You'll need to balance this role with your studies. Can you walk me through your typical week and how you'd structure your time to ensure you can consistently dedicate attention to finding and connecting with creators?"
With my 8-5pm office schedule, I will dedicate time and attention to connecting with diverse creators during my commute in the mornings/evenings. This morning/evening structure allows me to reach out to creators in the mornings and potentially receive responses by the time I am commuting back home from the office in the evenings. Given the flexibility of social media creators, I have no doubt that I will have difficulty connecting with creators in the late evenings. I will also dedicate time on the weekends to truly focus on fostering relationships with creators who align with the brand’s mission.

How do you currently discover new skincare products or brands? Walk me through your process of researching and deciding what to try.
When looking for new skincare products/brands, I find myself searching on Tiktok before anything else. Tiktok serves as a more personalized social media platform that allows me to find the most genuine and trustworthy reviews of products or brands. When searching for reviews on Tiktok, I usually lean towards the videos that have the most amount of likes, comments, and saves rather than just views, as a video with a high number of views but low interaction signals to me that it was sponsored or promoted. I look for multiple videos and through the comments to see if a wide variety of people genuinely enjoy the certain product before going through with a purchase.

Tell me about a time you've successfully used social media to promote something you care about - whether that was a school event, personal project, or club initiative. What strategies did you use and what results did you achieve?
With my Brand Ambassador team at Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare, we started a social media marketing initiative where we would post several TikToks and Instagram Reels to promote our products. In addition we planned to host in person sampling events at high-traffic areas on our respective college campuses and reach out to several campus organizations to hold product drops. Personally, I held 3 sampling events and 3 product drops, and posted 3 TikToks and 3 Instagram stories. I accumulated around 10,000 views on my posts across social media platforms. I was also able to hand out 500 samples through my promotion and increased engagement rates from 1.34% to 2.13% in less than 3 weeks. Overall, the marketing initiative proved to be effective as we were able to increase brand awareness across our respective college campuses.
