How will you use AI for this role?

I would use AI as a tool to make workflows more efficient and streamline certain tasks while still maintaining my own voice. At Newhouse, my professors encourage us to use AI as a support tool rather than something that replaces original thinking. I agree with this mindset and think AI can be incredibly helpful for speeding up processes and generating inspiration when dealing with creative blocks. Nonetheless, I would make sure not to become overly reliant on it because human perspective is still what make content truly engaging.

How would you approach pitching a brand deal?

I would approach pitching a brand deal by first researching the brand’s identity and audience, as well as current marketing approach so the partnership feels authentic and mutually beneficial. The strongest pitches clearly explain why the collaboration makes sense culturally and strategically. My PR background has given me experience developing research-backed campaign pitches. For example, For example, I was part of the winning Syracuse University team for the recent Uber One x Home From College back-to-school campaign. My team combined audience insights and trend research to creatively connect with college students in a way that felt relevant to their actual lifestyles. I think successful brand deals come from understanding both the audience and the brand, then presenting ideas in a way that feels aligned with the company’s goals.
