How would you persuade a friend to try Gopuff for the first time?
At Duke, persuasion is all about timing. I would not randomly tell a friend to download Gopuff. I would wait for a real moment, like midnight in Perkins when everyone is stressed over a problem set, 2 AM during tenting when someone forgot snacks or hand warmers, or Sunday night in our suite when we realize we are out of everything. I would turn it into a mini challenge and say, “If this gets here before we finish this set, you download it.” We would place the order together, use my code, and keep studying or getting ready. When it shows up quickly, that moment of relief is what converts. At Duke, shared experiences spread fast. If Gopuff saves one late-night study session or one freezing tenting shift, it becomes part of the culture naturally.

What clubs/orgs/social circle are you involved in that you can tap to host mini events?
I’m a Resident Assistant in a suite-style senior building of over 2,000 Duke students, where I host twice-monthly events for 60+ residents and have direct access to highly engaged housing communities. I also run a six-week tenting Instagram leading up to the Duke vs. UNC men’s basketball game, one of the most high-energy and socially active periods on campus, with a consistently engaged following. I’m part of Duke Innovation & Entrepreneurship through the selective Melissa & Doug Entrepreneurs program, where I lead my startup, StratoPlanner. That gives me access to founders, student leaders, and high-performing circles that regularly gather for pitch nights, workshops, and social events. In addition, I’m enrolled in Duke’s Building Global Audiences course taught by Professor Aaron Dinin (https://www.instagram.com/aarondinin/?hl=en), who has built a platform of over 500,000 followers. In that class, we study platform growth, conversion psychology, and audience building in a hands-on way, which directly informs how I think about UGC, CTAs, and driving measurable downloads rather than just impressions. Across RA networks, senior housing, tenting culture, I&E communities, and my own social platforms, I have both physical and digital access to student groups that convert.
