Interview Questions
Recess
Recess Content Creator (Photo + Video)

How long (Generally) does it take you to create a piece of video content?
It really depends on the type of content, but generally I can turn around a short-form video in about one to three days. Quick, trend-based content with light editing can be done in just a few hours, especially if I already have the idea and footage ready. For more polished or planned-out videos, I like to give myself time to storyboard, shoot, edit, and tweak — usually within a two to three day window. I’m efficient but also care a lot about details, so I always make sure it’s scroll-worthy and true to the brand before posting.

How do you stay updated on the latest social media trends and adapt them into your content creation strategy?
I treat trend spotting like part of my daily scroll. I keep up with what’s happening on TikTok, Instagram, and even Threads to see what people are actually engaging with. I save sounds, track viral formats, and follow creators who are great at staying ahead of the curve without chasing every single trend. When I see something that fits the brand vibe, I think about how to make it feel like Recess. That might mean putting a calm or playful spin on a trending format or adding your signature humor and colors to make it feel on-brand. It’s all about balance. I never want content to feel forced, just fun and relevant in a way that makes people stop and smile.
Ello Products
Food/Recipe UGC Creator

What is your strategy and approach making content for a brand like ours?
My approach is all about blending aesthetic with authenticity. For a brand like Ello, I would focus on creating content that feels clean, modern, and super relatable. It should look just as good on a Pinterest board as it does in someone’s daily routine. I’d start by understanding your audience’s lifestyle and then build content that fits naturally into their world. That could mean showing your products in real moments, sharing quick tips or routines, or using trends that match your brand vibe. I love working with color, movement, and storytelling to make sure every post feels intentional but still fresh and fun. At the end of the day, the goal is to make Ello feel like a go-to part of someone's life, not just another product. I would be so excited to help make that happen.
