Share a few of the most impactful traditions as it relates to March Madness on your campus?

A few of the most impactful March Madness traditions on campus revolve around community and school pride. Students love gathering in dorm lounges, student centers, or local spots near campus to watch the games together—especially when there’s a bracket challenge going on. It’s common to see friends, clubs, and even professors organizing bracket competitions, creating a fun sense of rivalry and bonding.Watch parties are a big deal—people wear their school gear, bring snacks, and cheer like we’re in the arena. Even students who aren’t huge basketball fans get involved for the energy, the food, and the social side of it. Some student orgs or Greek life groups host themed events or tailgate-style viewing parties, and March Madness becomes more than just a tournament—it’s a social season on campus.

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, what would be your best idea for the brand to uniquely engage students?

If Uber were to host an activation on campus during March Madness, my best idea would be a “Slam Dunk Rides & Bites” pop-up experience. The activation would combine basketball-themed games with real-time Uber Eats promotions and ride discounts to create an immersive and interactive space for students.Picture this: a mini basketball hoop challenge where students can compete in quick shootouts to win Uber promo codes, food vouchers, or exclusive Uber Eats merch. While students wait their turn, they can chill in a branded lounge area with March Madness games streaming live, grab free snacks from Uber Eats partner restaurants, and snap photos at an Instagrammable Uber-branded backdrop. We'd drive awareness with a countdown on campus-focused Instagram Stories, push “late-night eats” reminders, and encourage students to tag Uber for reposts. This type of experience would not only energize campus spirit but also tie Uber's key services—rides and eats—into the excitement of March Madness in a fun, memorable way.
