When editing my children's book on biodiversity in urban settings, I exercised my voice with my editor. I had my target audience in mind and his change of a word altered its meaning completely. In that sense, rejecting a change improved its impact.

In order to ensure ones writing aligns with the brand's message and tone, one has to know the brand well. That being said, I would work towards understanding the brand's mission and vision, to provide a focus on the brand's key values, and audience.
