What makes a skincare routine special to you?

It is time for myself, not simply a way to take care of my skin, but a moment to treat and take care of me. A skincare routine feels special when it is intentional and connected to nature. It is not only about the visible result, but also about the experience such as the natural textures, delicate herbal scents, and the feeling that each ingredient has been thoughtfully chosen.

For me, that is what makes skincare meaningful. It is when it combines care, nature, and a small moment of peace in everyday life.

How would you showcase an herbal skincare product creatively in a 30-second video?

There are plenty of possible ideas, but everything depends on the goal, brand, and target audience. However, one creative concept I would suggest is showcasing common skin problems that I, or people in general, experience and presenting nature as the solution.

I would make the video aesthetic, genuine, and storytelling-based. For example, it could start by showing skin concerns such as dryness, dullness, or irritation, followed by beautiful visuals of herbs and natural ingredients that help address those concerns. This would create a clear connection between the problem and the product’s herbal solution.

Another option would be to use a trending track and sound effects, combined with beautiful videos of herbs in nature. I would also use a split-screen format: the top part of the screen could show herbs and natural ingredients, while the bottom part could show visuals of skin problems.

This would make the message visually engaging, easy to understand, and suitable for short-form platforms like TikTok or Instagram.

What makes short-form video content effective on Instagram and TikTok?

In my experience, the success of a short-form video on platforms such as Instagram and TikTok depends on a combination of the objective, format, visual hooks, and message.

First, I evaluate whether the goal is to reach a new audience, engage an existing one, or capture leads and close sales. Based on this, we can assess what has worked before for that specific goal and determine which content format will be most effective for the target audience.

Then, I move into the ideation stage, where I script the video around the main message, add USPs and triggers, such as desires and/or pain points, and most importantly, think about how to deliver it creatively. The goal is to capture attention within the first 1–2 seconds and maintain engagement until the end.

After that, I consider the location, props, and other visual hooks. Of course, based on the goal, I also decide which CTA should be included in the video.

There are also many other details to consider, such as the tone and energy used in the video, color combinations, effects, and how to align everything with the brand kit.
