If it's something that's useful to the consumer's everyday life. A very vital factor, then comes the likeability, the functionality, if it's long lasting, durable. If it's something that a person needs to eat or drink, safety would be the first main concern as far as sanitary goes. The price has to be reasonable, profitable, and something that customers would find worth paying for.
