what event would you host to promote uber one sign ups?

I would host multiple targeted events to reach different student groups where engagement is already high. One idea is to activate during Panhellenic alumni or sorority events, since these bring together large groups of students at once. I would set up an interactive Uber One presence during these events to promote sign ups in a fun, social environment where students are already gathered. I would also host an event in collaboration with the athletics department. Many student athletes already rely on food delivery services, often using DoorDash, so this would be a great opportunity to introduce Uber One to a group that may not be fully aware of the benefits. Creating awareness and showing the cost savings would be a key focus. Additionally, I would set up an Uber One booth at high traffic student body events where multiple organizations are tabling. This allows me to reach a wide range of students in one place, spark quick conversations, and drive sign ups by meeting students where they already are.

How would you convince a student to sign up for Uber One?

I would start by genuinely relating to the students I’m interacting with and the everyday challenges we all face in college. In Seattle especially, weather and safety affect a lot of our decisions. Rain, cold nights, and closed food spots often make it inconvenient or unsafe to go out, and that is where Uber One fits in naturally. I would adjust my approach depending on the group. If I were talking to younger students who enjoy going out or partying, I would focus on how Uber One makes getting around late at night more reliable and more affordable. I would explain how the savings on rides and fees add up over time, making it easier to go out while still staying safe. If I were in the library or study spaces, I would use the late night study angle. When students are studying for hours, we get hungry but do not have the time or energy to leave, especially when many places are closed. Uber One makes it easy to get food delivered and stay focused. By speaking to real situations students actually experience, Uber One does not feel like a subscription being pushed on them. It feels like a practical way to save money, stay safe, and make college life easier.
