How do you keep content engaging for your audience?

I keep my content engaging by making it feel like a real moment first, and a product second. For Jams PB&J, I’d focus on creating videos that tap into nostalgia + everyday relatability, while keeping the pacing fast and visually interesting. I use strong hooks in the first 1–2 seconds (something that makes people stop scrolling), then quickly move into a natural, story-driven moment — like a quick snack break, post-workout bite, or a “this reminds me of being a kid” type of scene. I also keep engagement high by: Switching scenes every few seconds to avoid static shotsUsing close-ups + bite shots to highlight texture and make the food look craveableKeeping the tone conversational and slightly unfiltered, like I’m talking to a friendIncorporating real-life scenarios (busy day, quick snack, on-the-go moments) so people can see themselves in itAdding subtle humor or personality to make the content memorableFor captions, I keep them short, relatable, and scroll-stopping — usually something that either asks a question or leans into nostalgia (ex: “When was the last time you had a PB&J?”). Overall, my goal is to make the viewer feel something — whether that’s nostalgia, hunger, or relatability — because that’s what keeps people watching, engaging, and coming back for more.
