One example of a successful social media campaign I contributed to was during my role as a Social Media and Marketing Assistant at Mohawk College, where I helped launch a new LinkedIn account for the Co-operative Education & Experiential Learning department. I developed a series of posts, including visually engaging graphics, video testimonials from students, and career development tips tailored to the target audience. For example, one campaign highlighted “Student Spotlights,” featuring short videos of students discussing their co-op experiences, which resonated strongly with the audience.

How do you stay updated on the latest trends in digital marketing?

I regularly read content from reputable marketing blogs like HubSpot, Neil Patel, and Social Media Examiner. These sources provide insights into emerging tools, strategies, and industry best practices .I participate in Webinars and Online Courses, Platforms like HubSpot Academy, Coursera, and LinkedIn Learning offer updated courses on topics like SEO, social media marketing, and analytics. For example, I recently completed The Ultimate Guide to B2B Digital Marketing certification. Joining Professional Communities: I engage with marketing professionals on platforms like LinkedIn and Reddit (in subreddits such as r/digital_marketing). These forums are excellent for exchanging ideas and learning from others’ experiences. In my current role, I test new features on platforms like Instagram Reels, Threads, and LinkedIn, tracking performance to understand their effectiveness. Hands-on experience helps me adapt strategies to align with current trends. Staying Active on Social Media, and following brand accounts and influencers on platforms like Twitter and TikTok helps me see what’s resonating with audiences in real-timee. Subscribing to Newsletters: Newsletters from Google Alerts, MarketingProfs, and Moz keep me informed about updates in algorithms, tools, and strategies. Attending Conferences and Networking Events: Conferences like Content Marketing World and smaller local marketing meetups are invaluable for gaining insights directly from industry experts. These practices ensure I remain informed and adaptable, allowing me to implement the most effective and innovative marketing strategies in my work.
