I honestly just found out about Home from college and I can’t believe something like this exists and it is not more widespread. I am passionate about supporting young people in achieving their goals because I am a young black woman who has received support from many people and I continually seek to pay it forward. Also, the economic climate has and is currently making it difficult for new graduates to find employment and Home from college is bridging that gap. I would love to work for a company that is doing such great work

I started a nonprofit startup in 2022 around community support, which I am very passionate about. I wanted to host an event for free that provided resources for community development in a fun way while supporting local talent and creatives in the community. I spent months researching funding and talking to big organizations to secure sponsorship. In my first year I raised over 20k and hosted 4,000 people at the event and in the second year I raised almost 60k. I learned so much from doing this but the success of the event can solely be attributed to the project management skills I have honed from my business management background and to being adaptable to learning as I went through the process

I will participate in campus club/ association events and facilitate games that people can play in order to win the products. This way I’m able to talk to an already engaged audience in a fun way about the products
