Interview Questions
Drink Koia
Koia Marketing Intern

Can you describe a time when you effectively represented a brand at an event?
I am a brand ambassador for DoorDash and Microsoft Copilot where we hosted multiple on campus activation events. I effectively represent each brand I work for by doing my own research about the brand itself to better relate to the audience. I personally like to develop a pitch that doesn't sound like I'm trying to sell them something, but more in the sense that I am helping them out, teaching them about the brand.

How would you engage with event attendees to create a positive brand experience?
I’d create an engaging and memorable experience by making interactions feel personal, fun, and informative. I’d start with an inviting booth setup, offering samples to spark interest while highlighting Koia’s plant-based ingredients and nutritional benefits. I’d ask open-ended questions to connect with attendees, making the conversation feel natural rather than a sales pitch. Encouraging social media engagement through tagging Koia in posts or interactive giveaways, would extend the brand’s reach beyond the event. Lastly, I’d emphasize Koia’s mission in a relatable way, ensuring each interaction leaves a lasting, positive impression.

Have you had a sales centered role in the past and describe what it was like?
Yes! My experience in fast food and brand ambassadorships has given me strong sales and customer engagement skills. Working in fast food taught me how to upsell, handle high-pressure environments, and provide quick, friendly service to maximize customer satisfaction. My campus ambassador roles have refined my ability to market products authentically, connect with audiences through strategic content and on campus activation events to drive engagement. Whether selling a meal or promoting a brand, I focus on understanding customer needs and presenting products in an appealing, relatable way.
