Tell us about your experience in sales, and why you want to work for our brand to help us grow!

While I am new to formal sales, I have developed strong communication, research and customer service skills through my academic and volunteer experiences. At St. David's hospital, I assisted visitors in the gift shop by helping them find items, answering questions, and ensuring they had a positive experience. Through these interactions, I learned how to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products.

In addition, my AP Research project focuses on how artificial intelligence improves the accuracy and efficiency of diabetes diagnosis in healthcare. This experience has strengthened my analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to understand how people use information to make decisions. It also taught me how to communicate complex ideas in a clear and simple way, which is an important skill in sales when helping customers make informed choices.

I want to work for Couture because I enjoy connecting with people and helping them find products that match their needs and style. I’m excited by the opportunity to apply my communication and research skills in a real-world sales environment, learn more about branding and customer engagement, and contribute to the growth of the company. While volunteering at the St. David's Hospital gift shop, I helped customers find gifts and items for their loved ones. One customer was unsure about purchasing a gift, so I took the time to learn what they were looking for and showed them a few options that fit their needs and budget. After they continued browsing, I checked back in, answered their questions, and helped them compare the choices. Because I followed up and provided personalized recommendations, the customer felt confident in their decision and completed the purchase. This experience taught me the value of listening to customers, building trust, and following up to help close a sale.
