I am passionate about Home From College, because it provides a multitude of opportunities. In this age, students are not only working hard to become successful in their career paths but are also working to maintain an online presence. Home From College provides the best of both worlds by allowing students and others to work with big brands whether that’s in an influencing or internship manner. It reminds me a lot of the club I helped create at school. I really am passionate about mentoring others and providing them with the necessary resources they need to become successful. This is exactly what Home From College does. It gives people many ways to delve into different sectors of work life while still being able to have fun and be creative.

Prior to graduating at my university, I started an organization with two faculty advisors. This was a psychology based club as this was my major as well as their career focuses. With their help, alongside two other peers, we developed Clinicians, Counselors, & Co. (CC&Co.); a club where we mentored others majoring in psychology through providing insights about all the career opportunities that would be available to them after graduation. We created the club’s constitution, campus events, coordinated with one another, and I even created our social media pages and flyers. Each month, we conducted about 2 different workshops for students that had a variety of different lessons attached; some include how to create effective resumes, how to get into graduate school, internship opportunities, different degree paths, and more. We introduced this club in the summer of 2022 based on the needs from students, and I carried out my position as a social media liaison, student mentor, and president until my graduation in December of 2023. I now have my Bachelor’s Degree in psychology.

I think Urban Outfitters is doing really well with their TikTok strategy. They create relatable content that has their clothing as the center piece when merchandising. They are also very active at commenting on people's posts, especially when the company is mentioned. Urban Outfitters has a variety of different video styles, which makes their feed dynamic and attention grabbing.
