Have you ever sold something online or in person? Share an example, big or small. Talk about what you learned from that selling experience

es! I’ve sold products through TikTok Shop by sharing items that I personally use and genuinely love, especially in the wellness, hair, and skincare spaces. One example was a PCOS-friendly supplement I shared with my followers. I created a short TikTok showing how I incorporate it into my daily routine, explained the benefits, and shared my honest experience with it.The post led to a noticeable increase in sales, and I learned a few things from that experience:Authenticity Wins: People trust content that’s real and relatable—sharing my personal routine made followers more likely to try the product.Content Drives Action: Short, informative videos with clear explanations and a strong hook are more effective than just posting a product link.Engagement Builds Trust: Responding to comments and answering questions in real-time encouraged people to purchase.Know Your Audience: Understanding my followers’ challenges with PCOS, hair, or skin helped me highlight solutions they genuinely care about. That experience reinforced that selling isn’t just about the product—it’s about providing value, being relatable, and building trust with your audience.

What's your video creation process? How do you usually get your inspirations?

My video creation process is a mix of planning, inspiration, and audience insight. It usually looks like this:Research & Inspiration: I stay on top of trends in my niche—PCOS/hormone support, hair/scalp health, soft fitness, and skincare—by watching other creators, checking TikTok trending hashtags, and looking at what my audience engages with most. I also pull inspiration from real-life experiences, products I use, and questions my followers ask.Concept & Hook: I focus on creating a 3-second hook that grabs attention. For example, I might start with a question like, ‘Struggling with hair loss? Try this daily routine.’ The hook frames the problem or benefit immediately.Filming & Editing: I batch content in 1–2 sessions per week, filming multiple videos to stay consistent. I keep clips concise and visually appealing, using captions, overlays, and music that resonate with my audience.Value Delivery: Each video is actionable—I show a routine, hack, or tip that viewers can immediately try. Authenticity is key; I share my real experience so the content feels personal and trustworthy.Engagement & Optimization: I end with prompts or questions to encourage comments and shares, then monitor performance metrics to see what resonates for future videos.I draw most of my inspiration from my own lifestyle, follower questions, and trending challenges. I always aim to blend education, entertainment, and relatability, which is why my audience feels connected and engaged with my content.

Tell me about a piece of content you made that got more engagement than usual. What do you think made it successful?

One of my TikToks that got way more engagement than usual was a PCOS hormone-friendly snack hack video. I showed a quick, easy recipe for balancing hormones, and it ended up getting 3x more views and comments than my typical posts. What made it successful:Relatable Hook: I opened with ‘If you have PCOS, this snack will change your energy levels,’ which immediately grabbed my target audience.Actionable Value: It was short, clear, and gave viewers something they could try the same day.Authenticity: I shared my personal experience with PCOS, making it relatable and trustworthy.Engagement Prompt: I asked viewers to share their favorite PCOS-friendly snacks in the comments, sparking conversation and shares. It taught me that combining personal experience with actionable tips and a strong hook encourages higher engagement—especially in the wellness and lifestyle niche I focus on.
