A hook in the first 2 seconds — if they don't stop scrolling immediately, nothing else matters.
The other key components:
Emotion — makes people feel something (laugh, shock, relate, cry). Emotion drives shares.
Relatability — viewers should think "this is literally me"
Brevity — says everything it needs to say, nothing more
A pattern interrupt — something unexpected that breaks the scroll habit
Sound/music — trending audio multiplies reach algorithmically
A clear payoff — the ending rewards the viewer for watching
The most viral videos nail at least 3 of these. The ones that hit all 6 break the internet.

What key metrics do you track to ensure a social media page is business-ready?
Follower quality over quantity — engagement rate (likes, comments, saves, shares relative to followers) matters more than raw follower count. A page with 2K followers and 8% engagement is more business-ready than 20K with 0.5%.
Other key metrics I track:
Profile completion — bio, link, highlight covers, consistent branding
Reach & impressions — is content actually being seen beyond followers?
Audience demographics — age, location, active hours (does it match the target customer?)
Content consistency — posting frequency and niche clarity
DM/response rate — businesses need to be responsive
A page is business-ready when strangers can land on it and immediately understand what's being sold and who it's for.
