If you were hired, how would you approach building out a content plan for Deep Blue?

If I were hired, I’d start by getting to know Deep Blue’s audience, goals, and brand voice—what kind of content resonates, what gaps exist, and what KPIs matter most. From there, I’d build a content plan that balances trends, education, and authentic storytelling: for example, short-form videos showcasing products in action, behind-the-scenes clips, tips or tutorials, and user-generated content to foster community. I’d map out a weekly schedule, plan content around seasonal or trending moments, and make sure each piece has a clear hook, engaging visuals, and a call-to-action. I’d also track performance metrics regularly to see what’s working and adjust in real time, so the plan stays flexible and results-driven.

What do you think is more important for a brand: going viral or building consistent community engagement? Why?

I think building consistent community engagement is more important for a brand. Going viral can give a huge spike in views, but in my experience, it’s short-lived—people might watch once, but they don’t always convert into loyal followers or customers. Consistent engagement, on the other hand, builds trust, familiarity, and a real connection with the audience. When your community feels seen and connected, they’re more likely to interact, share, and actually support the brand long-term.

How do you stay on top of TikTok trends and incorporate them into your content?

I stay on top of TikTok trends by regularly scrolling through the For You Page, following popular creators in my niche, and keeping an eye on trending sounds, hashtags, and challenges. When I spot a trend that fits my style or brand, I brainstorm ways to put my own twist on it so it feels authentic rather than forced. I also track what types of content my followers engage with most, which helps me tailor trends to resonate with my audience while keeping the videos relatable and fun.
